Helen Sutton Rose Garden
For decades Helen Sutton was a tireless benefactor for the Arboretum at South, and this garden honors her.
It was redesigned in 2016 with new paths and dry-laid beds of Montana slate. Design and construction students built shade structures with guidance from instructors Aaron Burman and Steve Hilderbrand. Now the roses stand taller in the reflected warmth of their stone beds.
This searchable database is a partial listing of the roses in the garden. You can scroll down to see the names. Or enter a name in the search box to find a specific rose.

Over time, some of the plant tags have been lost. The Seattle Rose Society generously spent time in summer of 2017 identifying roses in the garden and this is the list of those they are certain of.
